Lawnmasters’ Decorated Family Project Returns: Honoring a Local Veteran With a Free Christmas Light Display

The holiday season is a time for gratitude, giving, and celebrating the people who make our community strong. At Lawnmasters, this tradition means bringing back one of our most meaningful annual initiatives — the Decorated Family Project. Each year, our Christmas Décor team selects one local veteran and their family to receive a FREE professional holiday lighting installation as a heartfelt thank-you for their service and sacrifice.

This project has become one of our favorite ways to give back to the Shreveport–Bossier community. We know that no amount of sparkle can ever match the dedication of the men and women who served, but we’re honored to brighten the season for one special family each year.

About the Decorated Family Project

Each year’s installation is uniquely designed for the selected family, ensuring their home shines bright with a custom holiday display created just for them. Our team handles everything—from design to installation to removal—so the family can fully enjoy a beautiful, stress-free holiday season.

How to Nominate a Veteran Family

If you know a veteran family in Shreveport, Bossier City, Benton, Haughton, Stonewall, or surrounding areas who deserves an extra touch of holiday cheer, we’d love to hear about them. Nominating someone is simple, and there are two ways to do it:

1. Message Us on Facebook

Send us a direct message with:

• The veteran’s name
• Their service background
• Why you believe they would be a great fit for the project
• Contact information (if available)

Facebook messages help us track nominations quickly and reach out to families efficiently.

2. Call the Lawnmasters Office
